Key Staff
EAnD’s technical directors are Chris Meimaris and Bill Lai. Chris is responsible for technical direction, client liaison and administration. Bill is responsible for product development including software and hardware.
Chris is internationally recognised as an expert in mineral processing equipment and mill systems analysis. His research work was recognised by The University of Queensland in 2012 with the award of a higher doctorate, a Doctor of Engineering. This is a peer reviewed award by dissertation that was reviewed by major equipment vendors (GMD, mill and crusher vendors) and an expert from a large engineering contracting company.
Bill has a Master of Engineering Science from The University of Queensland in the use of computational methods in vibration analysis. His expertise has led to the development of high-speed computational software that allows the analysis of complete mill systems with semi-infinite soils. He also developed the first quantitative analyses of many of the components of ring motors in gearless mill drives. Bill is an expert in machine design including cranes, hoists, mobile equipment, agricultural machinery, and machines for water treatment plants.
